  I love JCPenney. The deals are fantastic and its close to where I live. The reason I'm giving this location a 2 star rating is because of in store convenience. It takes me several minutes to find a fitting room that is actually open to use and there are never enough staff at customer service to check out your items. Its literally like pulling teeth! This should really change because it takes the fun out of shopping.

  The Poughkeepsie Galleria mall has been my favorite mall since South Hills Mall has closed in 2006. The Galleria was a very nice mall before there decline. There is a lot of vacant space in the mall just like how South Hills Mall was before there decline. The Jcpenny at the Galleria announced they were closing in multiple locations in America and that they would all close by the end of 2018 MSNBC has posted to the public. In the mean time Jcpenny is closing and many other businesses are closing at the Poughkeepsie Galleria. It is probably not very surprising that Jcpenny is going out of business but what is surprising is that the Poughkeepsie Galleria is now considered a "Dead Mall" as that many like to call it. I hope this mall does not get torn down. I spoke to the owner of the Poughkeepsie Galleria and he said it could possibly turn into a large open air shopping center if the mall gets enough tenants. The owner said this project is most likely to be completed by the end of 2019 if the mall gets enough tenants. If the Galleria does not get enough tenants the property would most likely be sold. This is the end of an era for Jcpenny and the Poughkeepsie Galleria Mall. R.I.P Jcpenny 1902-2018 and I hope that the Poughkeepsie Galleria gets revamped as a shopping center which is what happened with The South Hills Mall in Wappenger Falls NY

  Normally I would buy my gifts from Amazon and get them in two days so I decided to try JCPENNY and they end up being totally SUCK ,the order came after the holiday,nobody call to tell me when to pick up the order or send me a email,I had to call there 1800,number to hear that the order was there and I received only one of the items, and the others was showing as shipped,yet when I went back to check on the rest,they told me items was showing all was delivered,It was a good thing it was the same person who gave me the first item was there again,so he remembered giving me only one of the items,they are not what they use to be,and have become very unreliable, JCPENNY SUCK.

  This locations has a great selection of shoes and the customer service I receive from the associates in the shoe department is usually great. For my latest visit, I am most thankful to Brian who was swift in offering me his assistance and helping me order 3 pairs of boots - last minute gifts actually- that were out of store inventory. Because of this positive experience, I do intend to shop more @ JcPenny and see what other departments have.
