I didn't have a student I.D. They still gave me a room for the night of wrestlemania. The next day they were fully booked, but gave me a room at the Nola Jazz house. Friendliest staff I've ever met anywhere.

so so wonderful... amazing location, staff and amenities... met so incredible people from all over the world and had a great time getting close with them in the hostel/out in the bars and restaurants in the quarter. The house itself is really cool and nice, awesome common area/kitchen/patio. and the entire quarter is reachable on foot from the place. and its a great deal. Staying here made our entire NOLA experience!

This hostel is clean and has great NOLA vibes, and the location can hardly be beat. Beds were comfortable, and there is a full kitchen and a lovely patio for smokers. Itā€™s a great way to meet people. I would also like to say that this is the ONLY hostel Iā€™ve ever stayed in that never ran out of hot water. Hot showers every morning made a huge difference in my routine! However, the ā€œ24 Hour Receptionā€ listed on the site was not to standard. Myself and a friend were disappointed to find no one there when we came to check out at 7 AM. Not only was there no one to help us coordinate a taxi, but because the concierge desk was empty, there was no one to return the collateral we had put down for our room keys. My friend lost his $5 deposit, and I lost the ID I had handed over. What a bummer!

I stayed in the French Quarter House for 5 nights and it was so much more than I could have expected. The best part was how interactive the staff were and how they went above and beyond to make you feel comfortable! I felt very safe and enjoyed talking to the staff and getting to know them! If you want to sleep and keep to yourself then itā€™s quiet enough and everyone was respectful, but if you are traveling alone this is a must because you will meet new friends every night and they will become like family. Especially women itā€™s nice to have company when your out and about in New Orleans. Nicole at the front desk on nights is super accommodating and fun to be around as well! Stay here and you wonā€™t regret it. I went to another hostel and regretted it not nearly as good of an experience as this one!

Spent two nights and I absolutely loved the place. It was right in the heart of French Quarters and a short walk away from Bourbon Street. The staff Connor and Suzanne were so helpful and informative of not only the hostel but the location itself. The guests/roommates were welcoming. Some would stay to themselves but overall I had fun playing card games with other tenants and exploring New Orleans. There's also a different kind of activity every day from bar hoping to card games to touring around the city to trying new foods from close enough places hosted by the staff at the hostel. There's a free continental breakfast which consists of pancakes or waffles, oatmeal, and sometimes fruit cups with hot brewed coffee or tea. The only downside to the hostel are that the walls are quite thin since it's an old budding. I'm thankful I had a room all the way upstairs but some of the guests who had rooms downstairs near the common room complained about not getting any sleep from drunk tenants coming in and out of the hostel late at night. So if you're a light sleeper like me, bring some good earplugs. It'll help with sleep by a long shot. But overall I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and will certainly book with them again whenever I decide to come back to New Orleans. Cheers!
