  A poor and expensive hem job.

  I set up an appointment for a pick up at my job located within a NYCHA building. We're a small business, yet we're easy to find since we have purple awnings to distinguish our site. I get a message from my assistant stating that the pick up person was unable to find our location, and that there are unable to offer us any services because we do not have a doorbell which is FALSE! If you're a business with a new client and you're having trouble finding a location, it's common sense to call the business while you're on location and ask for directions. Very unprofessional and unapologetic . I spoke with the owner after the incident and he claims that he was unable to find the location of our business. I asked him if that was the case, why didn't we receive a phone call while you were near the business for assistance? I also mentioned that I gave intrinsic instructions on how to find our business, which entrance is located within the park of a NYCHA Building. The, the owner says "We only pick up from buildings with doormen". This is inaccurate and pure discrimination. When I initially set the appointment for laundry pick up, there was no mention or question about what type of building is being serviced or whether or not a doorman was on site. If that was a practice of the company, why wasn't I ask that when I booked the appointment and spoke with the owner twice PRIOR to pick up? Our Daycare has a receptionist and a front office, which is the equivalent to the help you would receive if you were to visit a building with a doorman. I believe that once the owner physically saw that we were located in a NYCHA building, he decided not to serve and stated that he will be unable to serve us in the future. Despicable.

  They do a solid, decent job. They have cleaned clothes for me that other cleaners rejected. I have no worries when I bring items into them.

  We've been using ideal cleaners for about 2 years and have had consistently good and on time dry cleaning as well as minor tailoring.

  We used to live right around the corner from Bernie and even though we now live a fair distance from his store we still go to him for all of our dry-cleaning and tailoring needs. His prices are very reasonable and his work is top-notch. And any time we've received something that he's done that we weren't satisfied with (which is rare) Bernie has remedied the situation quickly and with a positive attitude. I can't think of anything more that I would want in a dry-cleaner.
