  Harold Black is one of my happy places. I've been coming here for years, and love the dark, cozy atmosphere and great drinks. Up to 2 or 3 months ago it would have gotten 5 stars, easily...however, the last few times I've gone it's been overrun by loud, self-important bros from Arlington. If it can somehow reclaim its former DC-vibe, it'll go right back to 5 stars.

  Great atmosphere, delicious eats, classy drinks. A great place to catch up with friends. Highly recommend a visit.

  The atmosphere here is dark and intimate. The decor fits in perfectly. The drinks were perfect as well: strong and delicious. If you're not sure what to order give the bar tender your base spirit and flavors you like (I asked for gin and citrus).

  Absolutely loved this speakeasy! Such an intimate environment, candle lit and perfect for a date night or cozy night out with a small group. I am placing this one as one of my top 5 bars in DC.

  Nice Eastern Market location, easy to walk to from the Metro. The door does not have numbers on it so beware. very unique and creative drinks. they also have a very nice appetizer menu, I enjoyed the charcuterie and the salad was very good. A nice beer selection and the atmosphere is cozy and dark. Service was fast and friendly. This is a good place to go for happy hour or a romantic date. I recommend reservations.
