::Harold Black is one of my happy places. I've been coming here for years, and love the dark, cozy atmosphere and great drinks. Up to 2 or 3 months ago it would have gotten 5 stars, easily...however, the last few times I've gone it's been overrun by loud, self-important bros from Arlington. If it can somehow reclaim its former DC-vibe, it'll go right back to 5 stars.

::The atmosphere here is dark and intimate. The decor fits in perfectly. The drinks were perfect as well: strong and delicious. If you're not sure what to order give the bar tender your base spirit and flavors you like (I asked for gin and citrus).

::Absolutely loved this speakeasy! Such an intimate environment, candle lit and perfect for a date night or cozy night out with a small group. I am placing this one as one of my top 5 bars in DC.

::Nice Eastern Market location, easy to walk to from the Metro. The door does not have numbers on it so beware. very unique and creative drinks. they also have a very nice appetizer menu, I enjoyed the charcuterie and the salad was very good. A nice beer selection and the atmosphere is cozy and dark. Service was fast and friendly. This is a good place to go for happy hour or a romantic date. I recommend reservations.
