  Eggs are really nice. Bread is a bit tough and chewy. Probably because it is a sourdough.

  Ok pastries. Haven't tried the coffee yet; it looked like they served it in single use cups regardless of if you sit in or take to go. Too wasteful for me. Will try next time when I bring my own mug. 4 stars because the staff were really friendly. Otherwise, pretty average.

  We loved the lighting and seating of the previous owner... what happened?? Why not keep the two couches? Why no window-seats??!? Good soul music? The place is now filled with moms and middle-aged people, and the previous crowd of a mix of Tulane students seems to have moved on.

  Great space taken over by gracious bakery when Manhattan jack closed. Different menu but great pasteries and soup and salad options. Sandwiches and soups and salads aren't served until 11 am daily. Great coffee and sweets. If you're looking for a great coffee break or maybe an alternative to the amazing ice cream next door it is definitely worth a try and if you miss Manhattan jack you won't be disappointed.
