They teased me during my workout. Nice machines tho. What a shame.

Why is there always dust in the women's locker room? I've seen it months ago and it's still there, in between the walls and the lockers... Why does it still have to be cleaned? Also, can you PLEASE clean your bathrooms, or it's not possible?? 2 times out of 4/week I can't use your bathroom because it's so dirty. Hygiene in a gym should have a high-level priority!

Promo offer is a trap! I recently moved to Pittsburgh and just went there to check the gym. They will do all the tricks to sign you up for their promo offer lying about offer deadlines and all ( In reality they always have 1$ promo offer to trap customers). They will quickly do everything so you won't have time to read what you signed up for. I didn't use the gym a single day after signing up but would need to pay them for 2 months as they require you to notify of your cancellation 30 days prior. Best part is I tried cancelling via phone (Not allowed), went in person (not allowed after 7 PM or on weekend). Finally, I had to leave my office on weekday to get out of the contract. It's a frustrating and painful experience and I still will pay them next month without using a single day. They should train their staff to be more transparent and not treat people as sales targets. Gym facility is above average but I would not recommend this gym to anyone due to their unclear policies. P.S. Ask for a copy of your cancellation notice in case they come back to you for more charges.

Bait and switch I signed up for their promo in December one dollar down and ten dollars a month. I was told my first payment was due January 15. They donโ€™t give an actual copy of the contract and I couldnโ€™t read the computer screen so I simply asked them to go over the information and I signed electronically. Money was drafted from my account two days later, then another sixty dollar charge was drafted. Very disappointed with the way they handle business and their lack of professionalism. Not at all worth the headache or the hidden cost. If you are looking for a clean gym, reasonably priced, with working equipment and staff that greet you when you are standing in front of them, this is not the gym for you!

I belonged to Gold's about 5 years ago when I worked downtown and rejoined recently after taking a job downtown again. While not expecting massive improvements, I will say that the gym has not changed much as far as cleanliness and maintenance of equipment goes. I've been going for about a month now and there hasn't been a time where I've gone in that I didn't find broken equipment, out of order, or began a workout then had to jump to another machine since it was broken without a sign. In the women's locker room, there's lockers that are broken and a light bulb that has been burnt out by one of the mirrors for at least a month now. There's visible dust around a lot of the equipment, walls and some of the bathroom areas. My biggest issue with Gold's is that they charge you a $40 "maintenance fee" to which I'm not sure where that money is going as I don't see any improvements. Even after not having been here for 5 years, it's in the same state of need for equipment, cleanliness and general maintenance. This place is long overdue for some improvements, which I'm not sure if they are planning on any renovations at any point in the future. Attached next door or in the same building is corporate housing so I'm not sure if any of those individuals use the facility or not but with bringing in business like that, surely the user base is possibly expanding. I've belonged to LA Fitness (West Mifflin/South Hills branches) and Club Julian's in the North Hills, both of those places are superior in equipment inventory and cleanliness. Only reason I'm giving more than 1 star is the lack of options of full service gyms downtown, the Y is really very nice but higher fee with shorter hours.
