  This is a great historic hotel. The rooms are clean and well kept. There are a few quirks though because it is so old. 1. The elevator does mot work and the stairs are steep and narrow so getting a lot of luggage up would be difficult. 2. The hotel is cooled by swamp coolers so the window above the door has to be open if you want a cool room. This exposes you to hall noise and allows people in the hall to hear what you are doing. 3. Because it is so old the bathroom is very small, including the shower. Larger (tall too not just fat) people would struggle with it. 4. It is located above several bars so street noise can be a problem. However, they do give out ear plugs free of charge. 5. No free WiFi. If you can get past these things it is a good budget hotel in the middle of downtown within walking distance to a lot of activities.

  Great location and really friendly down to earth staff. The manager was super helpful as she made our journey to the airport very easy. The rooms are great and clean. Good value for money.

  Stayed one night on a tour across the US in June/July '17. Nice people, nice location and nice private room at reasonable price. No complaints at all. It's a quaint old world premises, refurbished appropriately and lovely to boot. It was perfect for my needs and budget.

  This historic hotel has hostel rooms as well as traditional private rooms. If you are touring by bicycle, they have a place to store your bike. Large kitchen and social area in the basement. It's right in the heart of downtown, so most things are walkable. Upscale restaurant next door, and casual pizza place a couple doors down. All the rooms appear to be upstairs, up a slippery marble staircase, if that is an issue. Possibly the best value in downtown, if you don't want a transient hotel.

  Worst place to stay. I've never had worse customer service. Old and dirty; gross shower/bathroom. Uncomfortable bed. Very loud, couldn't sleep. Lied about check out time, price online is a lie, there are only two "free" parking spots. They don't compensate for you paying for parking. Don't trust this place. Horrible place. If you can help it, stay anywhere else!
