The owner is the nicest guy yet! I have been going here for 18 years and he keeps this place clean. He knows I have been there when he gets there and half his job is done. He deserves a break every now and then so I try and help out when I'm doing my laundry there. It also passes up time while I'm waiting for my laundry to be done.

Cant think of anything outside of goodthings about the place. Extremly well kept, clean, owner is respectable, hard working, everything works, prices are fair, even the volume of the music is spot on. It is the best attended laundromat i have ever used and its 24 hours. I do wish there was a restroom and i have data however free wifi could be useful to some. Still have to give it 5 stars because the guy cleans every morning with a smile keeping machines working great....

I just read a less than positive review from Ms. Lyricka Gates in regards to the 1st. Ave. Laundromat. By your own admission, you made several key mistakes, first of which was leaving your purse on the seat in plain view. Second, you didn't lock the doors!?!? Third, why would you carry your passport, child's birth certificate and several pieces of irreplaceable jewellery around with you? Any reasonable person knows those things belong at home, in a lock box or a safe deposit box. Fourth, as to your driver's license, keep it on your person, along with credit cards and cash. Fifth, you fail to mention day and time this took place. Was it during peak hours or say, 1:30 a.m. on Friday or Saturday morning?? You do show a high level of irresponsibility and lack of common sense. As to the viewing of video tapes, let me share this with you and others who might read this: *Your Obligations and Your Rights* *Although there is no obligation to show your images to a law enforcement officer, you may be asked to do so. It is important to know that you do not have to consent to such a request. Under certain conditions known as "exigent circumstances," where an officer believes that your recording might contain evidence of a crime and subsequently seize your equipment and material in order to prevent it from being lost or destroyed. However, it may not be searched, viewed and copied without proper legal authority such as a search warrant or subpoena. Under no circumstances may anyone delete those recordings or order you or a third party to do so.* All of this falls under constitutional law. I might suggest you become familiar with it. I have patronized the 1st. Ave. Laundromat for many years and have not had anything taken but then I don't tempt the hand of fate. I find it to be clean and reasonably priced, with prices being $.25 cheaper on Wednesdays. I've seen a young attendant there and he appears to be friendly and courteous enough. Always be aware of your surroundings and those with common sense, apply liberally.

This has been the most convenient laundry Matt for me for years mostly because of its location and hours..that has recently changed with my last and final visit there about 3 days ago. My purse was stolen out of my truck while it was parked directly in front of the establishment in plain site from within the store, granite I should have locked my door although along with the fact that everyone makes mistakes I also believed it would be OK since I would not be leaving plain site of my truck. Therefore I feel that this place is completely UNSAFE!! Furthermore I also tried to contact the owner following the incident (to make a desperate plea for him to allow me to see the camera footage so that I might have a chance at getting ANY of my belongings back) and was simply told that hed already reviewed the cameras and would not elaborate at all and simply told me that it was as a liability issue and that id have to get a lawyer, (which I can't afford)despite me explaining to him that my entire life was in that purse, including my driver's license,my passport, my child's birth certificate, the spare keys to my vehicle(which I've had to park at a friend's residence since the incident because the thief now knows my address BC of my id)...along with all of my bank cards, over $150 in cash, not to mention jewelry that is completely unreplaceable along with many other items..I apologize for ranting I'm still very upset about the whole thing..the only chance that I might have had to retrieve my purse was crushed by the owner of this establishment.... but the point of this review is just to let everyone know that this is NOT a SAFE environment for anyone by any means and that the owner DOES NOT have any CONCERN for the well-being of his customers or ANY of there BELONGINGS!
