  This is my go-to when I am in Astoria visiting my son. Last visit in February came with a snowstorm. Comfortable neighborhood diner where breakfast always comes with a smile. The best service. As a heads up, it is cash only but there's an ATM nearby.

  Exactly what you want from a corner diner. Great service, great prices, good food. Look, this is not fine dining...it's the best diner in Astoria. That's why it gets 5 stars.

  Family Corner Restaurant is a really nice Greek Astoria diner. It's a tiny and cozy place, and service was friendly and efficient. The food was all the comfort food you'd expect in a diner, everything from Greek dishes to wraps to crab cakes, and beyond. I tried the spinach pie platter with fries and a side salad, and left happy. The side salad is pretty gourmet for a basic side salad. It had a decent amount of tomatoes, feta, and red onions in it, and was drizzled in a balsamic vinaigrette. The spanakopita was simply okay- it was very doughy and the feta inside wasn't too salty- but for the price it was not bad. Recommended!
