Stopped hear this past weekend on a road trip with my mother. I got the vegetarian Eggs Benedict (the first one I've ever seen) and it was delicious! The waiter was very attentive and the building easy-to-access and comfortably furnished. Overall, a great experience.

Saturday morning, no wait. Pleasant breakfast on the patio. Egg tacos, good and plenty. Good coffee, prompt and courteous service. Reasonably priced. Great place to eat. Coming back next time I'm in Dallas.

We came to this place because we were visiting Dallas for a friend’s wedding and it did not fail! The food was great and made fresh to order. We send there Saturday morning and Monday morning and both days there was no wait time so that was great also. They have a good selection in coffee and they have a full bar as well. They are walking distance to the aquarium and the sixth floor museum so location wise is perfect if you want to explore downtown Dallas.

Wow, what a nice find! I visited Ellen's recently with my sister and ordered Mushroom Garlic Toast. The server cautioned that it is smothered in mushrooms - some folks like it that way, but the toast will not be 'crisp.' (duh) Still, it was kind of her to give me that note. This dish is CRAZY GOOD. I got it with scrambled eggs. The combination of eggs, mushrooms, green onions, and goat cheese is magical. No wonder it is a signature dish. The weather was quite nice, so we ate outside. Although customers are seated in near proximity, everyone was genial. When the couple seated next to us rose to leave, they wished us a happy day. My sister got the Pancake Pot Pie. It is a lot of food and I noticed that other customers were not able to finish theirs. (so be forewarned) Honestly, I will return to Ellen's again and hopefully soon. P.S. Our receipt had this note: "Love one another. Protect the vulnerable. Find common ground. Say "yes" to peace." Love it!

The breakfast enchiladas were awesome. The place is very fun inside, kind of upscale Jersey diner with southern charm and much better food. Service was attentive and friendly. There is a parking lot across that street that is free, if you can find a spot. Will definitely go here again next time I'm in Dallas!
