  Amazing atmosphere, not too busy or overcrowded. Plentiful/endless choices to eat ranging from burger joints to coffee shops even including Oriental foods like Chinese/Japanese. Many beautiful large sized buildings to gaze at. Several locations with benching and outdoor dining tables

  Ah, Raleigh, the city of Oaks. I love you and I love your downtown district. There's tremendous growth here so you might run into some issues with construction and the traffic or parking, but there is so much in this area that it's totally worth having to navigate around the construction. There are venues for live music, some amazing restaurants, shops, and a Convention Center. And don't miss the museums. The Natural Sciences Museum and the Museum of History are incredible. If you have kids, you absolutely have to take them to Marbles Kids' Museum. There is also a really good kids book store and artspace near Marbles.

  Great up and coming downtown. Always fun festivals and the food game is on point, also lots of great bars full of local brews.

  Raleigh has tons of good quality restaurants downtown. Also, plenty of bars for the night crowd. Parking can suck but there are plans in the works to improve that. Also lots of museums and galleries to view and parks to stroll through. Small City feel with plenty to do. Decent hotels in the heart of it all. Welcome to Raleigh!

  Downtown Raleigh has become a great place to go when we first moved here 16 years ago it was like a ghost town but now there are people everywhere bars nightclubs restaurants things to see it's wonderful and it's only getting better
