  just a train ride away, but you feel like you're in a whole new world. the wide open space in the gallery made it easy to take in all the art. make it a day trip so you can see everything there is to offer. buy a book at the bookshop, or three. have lunch at the cafe.

  Great day trip from NYC for art and architecture lovers (or lovers). Take the train up the Hudson River or use the trip as an excuse to drive along the West side of the river. The museum features art from the likes of De Maria, Chamberlain, and Serra, all assembled into a former Nabisco factory situated on the Hudson River bank.

  If you like modern art, you’ll love this place. It’s an absolutely beautiful building and grounds. Some of the stuff I didn’t get it, but it’s a great experience and cool to see. Favorite was the huge metal sculptures you can walk in and out of!

  ここを知ってからNYの楽しみが増えました。ポイントは三つです。メトロノース鉄道ハドソン線の車窓から見えるハドソン川の景色が素晴らしいこと(特に紅葉の季節)。マンハッタンから約100km離れているので混雑していないこと。広い空間にゆったり展示されている作品群を都会の喧騒から隔絶した静かな雰囲気で楽しめること。ぜひおすすめします。

  難解な前衛オブジェをコレクションした美術館です。ファミリーで行くにはオススメしませんが、友達同士で色々解釈しながら回るか、一人で空間を楽しむのが良いかと思います。作品の説明が置いてある紙を読む形で、もっと簡単に要約してあれば英語が苦手な人には良かったと思います。元、ナビスコの印刷工場だった建物をそのまま利用していて、独特の味を出しています。ブックショップは文字通り本しか売っていません。カフェテリアは素朴な感じで、それがまたビアビーコンらしくてお洒落です。
