Great atmosphere. Huuuuge selection of whiskey and beer! The food is always delicious. Best Cubano in the twin cities!

Delicious food, extensive beer list, wonderful atmosphere, and a fun little patio! I definitely recommend this place! Also, if you're at Barrel Theory next door, you can get Dark Horse to go and bring it to the brewery!!

The place has menu options for almost every dietary need. Good selection of beer and specialty drinks available on the menu. Wish the bartenders could make a good old fashioned, hopefully someday soon. Overall service is great and depending on the time of day can be kid-friendly.

Great happy hour specials! Drink specials end at 6, but food ends at 5, so I'm never able to take advantage of the happy hour food specials. Not to fear, though, because their wine is $3 for a house red or a house white. Their menu is fairly small, but inclusive of dietary restrictions. They will happily work with you on that. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere, but a bit dark inside.

Dark Horse implies -- "not likely to be a winner" -- so this place lives up to its name. The wide open, country bar look and feel of the restaurant is welcoming but the menu items are nothing special and seem overpriced. The restaurant is clean and the staff is competent, but when choosing between all the fun and interesting places to eat in St. Paul, the Dark Horse doesn't come out on top.
