::Fantastic experience. We went on a whim not really know much. Sat up front but quickly asked to be moved to the counter; to where the action was taking place. All seats were taken but were offered a table on the wall. Great atmosphere. Service was very attentive, but not hovering. We sampled off the main menu but asked to see the 7 course menu. There was a prawn dish that looked delicious. We asked our wait team if there was any way we could try us that dish. They graciously replied they would try. A few minutes later they said it would be right up. Within a few minutes it was brought to our table by one of the chefs. Not only one of the chefs, but Chef Alan Delgado and he thanked us for coming. The dish was unique and heavenly. We waved to the chef to say thanks for accommodating us. He returned to our table, we thanked him and told him how we enjoyed the dish. He spent time explaining the dish and chatted with us about the concept, his history and life. Many chef's I have encountered over the years are quite aloof and difficult to have a conversation with, not Chef Alan. Great guy and chef. Highly recommend, will be first on my list next time I am back in Austin. Next time I will make sure our reservation is at the counter to ensure we are able to enjoy the total experience.

::Just moving to Austin, I wanted to find a place for me and my lady because she lives in DFW and I wanted to have a special night because I don't get to see her often. The food was good, but we felt rushed to choose what we wanted. The place got smokey at some point and we smelt of smoke leaving. We never got the time we wanted to really choose, but, it was fine. I will definitely have to give it another shot.

::Delicious prix fixe menu. We got the wine pairing and it was totally worth it. It's a bit pricy, but the casual Austin-style atmosphere makes it fun and not too high brow. We wore slacks and a button down and fit in just fine. It gets a little smoky at times so be prepared to smell a bit like smoke/oil when you leave.

::Great chef's menu. Bar is nice, and the chefs counter is lovely. The 7 course menu was well thought-out and absolutely delicious

::Stopped in for a drink at their lovely front lobby bar, and had the opportunity to try a little of their food also. Everything was fantastic! The bar staff were engaging and clearly love what they do. The food was incredible and almost too beautiful to eat. Don't plan on going on here without lightening your wallet though. Prices reflect excellent service and presentation.
