::Needed to close one of my accounts, and I happened to be in downtown at the time. I was greeted warmly at first as soon as I walked in by one of the bank officers. However, after he learned that I was closing an account, he became dismissive, rude, and generally hostile. He curtly sat me at one of the empty desks and told me to call customer service. If I wanted to call customer service, I wouldn't have dropped in. Unbelievable. After being put on hold for 20 minutes, someone finally answered. Unfortunately, it was from an outsourced call center. I couldn't hear or understand the guy very well. It also didn't help that his command of the English language was somewhat limited. After a frustrating 10 minutes, the customer service representative hung up on me. I marched to the bank officer and told him that I was done being given the runaround-- having spent over 30 minutes for something that should've taken 5 minutes (and I didn't even get it done)! How do I know this? The bank officer, without even talking to or looking at me, went to his computer and closed the account in a flash. I was planning on opening an investment account with them later, but this absolutely disgraceful display of utter disrespect that I had to endure completely soured me on Chase forever. This was the absolute worst experience I have had in banking, ever. Chase is a terrible bank, and you should avoid it at all cost if you value being treated like a human being.

::The people have been personable whenever I've come by. One time, I was in line behind a very creepy guy that made everyone extremely uncomfortable. After I made my transaction and left, the manager of the place looked up my phone number and gave me a call to check in with me. That was a neat gesture.
