  As a software guy, it is very helpful to have a hardware guru to back you up. I know enough about hardware to have a general idea what I'm buying with desktops, but I don't have the parts and the up-to-date know how on assembling the RAM / CPU / Motherboard / Case efficiently and effectively. Dave knows all this. Even knows graybox laptops, for those so inclined. I've sent three or four people his direction in the past for minor stuff. Hard drives, power supplies, RAM. Each and every one of them has ended up satisfied. As a nerd that knows, I buy from him when I want a piece of equipment that will be at least somewhat reliable and extremely well supported.
