Expensive. The sandwiches were $12 and tasted mediocre. It was pre packaged too. I bought one because I was hungry but I really regret purchasing a $12 mediocre sandwich.

2pm on a Monday afternoon and there is NO sandwiches available, and no one is willing to expiate any. The attendants aren’t helpful, basically what you see is what you get. And what you see is very limited choices, at very expensive prices.

Located inside the Smithsonian Castle. A very pleasant and welcome surprise! Touring the museums made easier because it's open at 8:30am, perfect for DC visitors wanting an early headstart. Hot and cold sandwiches. I had the Sausage, egg and cheese sandwich and it was served hot and fresh after about a 2 minute wait. Coffee, juice, soda and water. Salads, fruit cups, chips, power bars and so much more.

I expected the food to be pricey, but I was hoping for better quality and customer service. My sandwich was literally frozen in the middle. Since I took a couple of bites the staff was unwilling to replace it or even just heat it up. They kindly offered to throw it out since it was inedible. I asked them to wrap it up instead. The sandwich actually wasn't bad once it thawed a couple hours later.

Avoid this place at all cost. We accidentally pour iced coffee into our cup which we thought was iced tea. Katherine, the attendant made us pay a second $4.25 for an iced tea when the coffee was never drank. This is an example of the poorest customer service possible. It is clear that our family will never eat here again and will share this experience with any one we meet. Perhaps Katherine has worked way to long in DC. She was about as customer service oriented as our government. Shame!
