I absolutely loved this sandwich shop! It's a little tucked away in a step-down building off the street, but the employees were very nice, the food was out quick, and during dinner time it really wasn't all too busy. The Italian sandwich and their house pickles were extraordinary!

Easily the best sandwiches in the city. Fresh, well balanced, delicious, and all while supporting a small business? How can you beat it? Half sandwich is plenty unless you're a competitive eater. Get a whole to share and a side of potato wedges.

When you come to the City specifically to get a sub, you know it's good! Make sure you say hello to Arlene when you're here. You can get your sandwich or sub any way you want it too. Don't forget to try the French onion dip while you wait for your order! Pay in cash if you can. Military and law enforcement friendly. Rest in Peace to their son & brother, Peter. Thanks for your service and your support!

So glad we stopped here! Cozy little garden level eatery with amazing sandwiches and friendly staff. When we travel, we like to try places we don't have back home, so today was my son's night to pick the dinner spot (he loves sandwiches). He read the reviews and was sold. My daughter and I were not disappointed. Must stop for lunch or a quick bite.

This place is absolutely great in every way. From the personal touch of Arlene at the register to Chef Jon's master sandwich creations, no customer had any sane cause to ever be disappointed. Every sandwich I've had from here has ranged from great to phenomenal, without exception. The space is small (though cute), so it's recommended to just do takeout on a nice day when it's crowded and eat your sandwich at a nearby park bench or in Dupont Circle. The vibe is friendly and you'll get a much better sandwich than you could at any if the chains nearby, including the good ones like Taylor or Jetties. Do yourself a favor and stop in when you're hungry; you will be very happy you did.
