::Broken Equipment The seat on one of the stationary bikes broke today while I was riding it at the Downtown Crossing location. This caused me to fall off the bike and one of the spinning pedals hit my calf muscle, resulting in a serious bruise. I pointed out this broken piece of equipment to the person at the front desk and she said, "oh, we're going to change a lot of things soon". What was worse than getting hurt by a piece of breaking equipment was explaining that it caused an injury, but 20 minutes later, no one had even taken that broken bike out of operation. I've come to expect chronically dirty equipment and facilities at this BSC location, but the broken equipment is simply dangerous. Management - if you take these reviews seriously, then don't keep paying lip service to the people writing them while ignoring the ongoing issues. Speak with the individual at the front desk and take this piece of equipment out of use.

::Decent gym with good group fitness classes. The locker rooms tend to be in a state of disrepair at all times though, with a number of lockers being off their hinges every day

::Very disappointed - reserved a spot on barre, but was REJECTED by the instructor claiming no space. It is both a management issue (because front desk should not give the pass for those unbooked people, I was told that actually from booking the class shall have 2 empty spots), and instructor - no compassionate. I have seen other instructors in other studios who will give their own barre to the students, but this instructor has no compassion or empathy.

::This would be 5 stars but this gym is closed on Sunday's which is SO ridiculous. And today thanksgiving day, all the neighboring BSC's are open until 3 except, that's right you guessed it, THIS ONE. I love this gym, but nothing they do makes sense. You'd think the one BSC that resides in the heart of the city would have some normal hours but no.

::My trainer is great and he's honestly why I still have a membership, otherwise I would probably shop around elsewhere. It's a no frills gym, get in get out get on with your life. Otherwise it gets crowded easily, not enough free weights. I go during non peak times and it's fine. Location is fantastic.
