Trendy cafe with excellent brunch and lunch selections. The service here is very good with knowledgeable, friendly staff. The best item we had was the pimento cheese appetizer which was absolutely delicious, but the meals were also very good. Despite being quite busy, the place is organized such that it still feels quiet and comfortable. Tge prices are about average for the area. The only negative for this restaurant is the lack of parking in the vicinity.

What a nifty spot! Black Sheep is a dark toned triangle of a restaurant, a sliced niche at the corner of a building. You'll find a cordial host like we did who will show you to your table: Amy was unfazed when we wanted to sit on the greenery-surrounded patio even as a thunderstorm threatened. We got comfy for a few minutes but the rain was just too insistent for us. Naturally we had to be "those annoying customers" who wanted to switch to an inside table. However there was no disdain or horror shown by either host Amy or server Natalie as they ushered us inside away from the blasting wind and pelting rain. Rather, they calmly helped us move to a comfy table by the window where we could watch the rain but not be thrashed by it. Our do-over, as it were, was pleasant, peaceful and perfect. We enjoyed appetizers of fried green tomatoes with super flavorful seasoning. Then we tried the fried green olives...actually breaded and fried, none of that greasy sauteed stuff here. The olives were superbly crunchy outside and warm and green inside with a hint of cheese filling. Shrimp and grits plate was salted and composed adroitly with creamy grits and tender, sweet shrimp. Steak Diane was all traditional as a thick disk of pure protein, cooked precisely to order. The Korean short ribs showcased the best and most authentic flavors with an unbeatable American heartiness. I tried the Oaxaca drink and fell in love with the unique flavor combo that included a playful kick of spicy Serrano peppers. Oh yes. Divine! So...five stars. I'd give 6 or 10 stars just for Southern hospitality and graciousness if I could. Black Sheep has obviously invested in staff development and it shows. Love it here! Would definitely return. Oh and yes, it isn't cheap. Of course not. Locally sourced foods are incorporated as much as possible. Staff knows and cares what they are doing. Menu development is a real thing here, with many good choices. And so on. Excellent!

This place has an amazing atmosphere. Super duper pricey so be ready. However the food we had was amazing. I recommend the fried green tomatoes. I would love to try the seating near the fire during our next Florida winter. My wife and I enjoyed the patio for a sun set. Dinner menu starts after happy hour

My friend and I sat on the rooftop bar while we waited for a table. The wait time was approx. 45 minutes, we came at a busy time on a Saturday night. We enjoyed watching the fire and the fireworks which were being lit off in the distance. The view of the city from this spot is fantastic and I'm told during the day you can see the river. The food was positively scrumptious. I crave going out and having something "DIFFERENT". This place will satisfy that desire for you as it did for me. Fried green tomatoes are tantalizing to the taste buds, crunchy on the outside and juicy in the middle. I enjoyed the catch of the day which was the Flounder. Try this place if you want a view, a posh scene, interesting and tasty food choices, or a good nightlife.

The rooftop seating is the place to eat! The menu is focused, so be sure to check first to see if it's your kind of food. I generally would have gone wild here with pork something and Mac n cheesy goodness, but I'm doing a 30 day vegan experiment. The wait staff were super accommodating. Good local beer selection.
