  John Hansen is one of the best in the business! The staff at Black Lotus is too notch and very professional. Do yourself a favor and be patient enough to wait for the artist of your choice. John's work made the 5 month wait worth every minute!

  I spent quite a bit of $$ here last year and was very disappointed with the customer service. The artist I was working with left and they would not refund or transfer my deposit to a new artist. They have great artists but that’s only half of the business. They act like they are doing you a favor by simply doing what they are being paid to do. You can find other places in the valley that do just as good of work but treat you and your money respectfully.

  My boyfriend and I go to Black Lotus for any and all of our tattoos in Arizona. We usually see Tyler but all of the artists here are great. Don't be afraid to go in with an idea and talk it over with anyone there, they're incredibly creative and can create an amazing piece for you. I recommend following their shop's Instagram page so you can check out the artists and their personal Instagram pages to get a feel for their style. There are a lot of tattoo parlors in Arizona but this is easily one of the best.

  Best shop in town and I highly recommend to everyone I meet. All the tattooers there are professional, friendly and creative. Contact the shop ahead of time to talk about your idea and get a recommendation for which artist would be best suited for your needs.

  My husband got an amazing shark tattoo on the back of his leg by Tyler, who may I add is a very friendly nerd. He remembers a lot of clients when they come in. My best friend got a hand tattoo by Tyler as well that turned out very nice. He is funny, and has a lot of ideas. I personally am working with Brian. His art work is more my style. I love how excited he was to do my tattoo, and how he was throwing out tattoo ideas for the future. He is a very calm listener. I almost fell asleep getting my tattoo because he has a light hand. My friend has also been tattooed by him, and she absolutely loves it. I am not a huge fan of water color tattoos, but if you are interested, he is very good at it. This place is overall clean, fun, and has great music. I enjoyed my time here, and I have future appointments coming up. Things to remember when shopping for a new artist. 1. Not every tattoo artist will do your tattoo. They may not want to do it because it is not something they are comfortable doing or maybe they don't think it will turn out the way you think. (every artist has their own style) 2. When you do a "walk in", you should expect to wait. There are other people ahead of you that booked appointments. It's not the artist's fault that you walked in an hour before closing, and weren't able to be tattooed right away. 3. Check out your future artist's Instagram. See if they are your style.
