    Staff were extremely helpful. The lady at the desk, Diane (I think) is an exemplary member of your team, super friendly and really helpful.

    Rental was smooth but you can't return a vehicle after 7pm...in a major metropolitan city like Boston? I had to park overnight and then return the car the next day. Parking is not cheap in Boston.

    We rented from Budget (Avis is in the same office). The entire process from walking in the door to driving out of the parking garage took less than 10 minutes. We got lucky and were upgraded cars (obviously don't expect that, I think it was just what they had in inventory). We rented for one night (stopped in Salem on our way to Kennebunkport, ME-perfect 24 hour getaway) and returned the car at the airport.

    TL;DR - Avis customer support is useless. Talking to the employees in the branch is better, but still lacking. If the price is really better than other places for your need, I recommend getting everything online and not to make any changes after you've taken the car. If you read the above, you might assume at this point that I'm exaggerating, but read my experience. We wanted to change the drop off location of our vehicle and were told by Avis customer support that they can't make the change or give an estimate regarding the price of the change. They recommended calling the original drop off branch. The original drop off branch in New York said we can return the car at Boston with no additional cost, and that the computer was updated. When we arrived at the drop off branch (this one in Boston), we were asked to pay an upcharge for the change. The employee couldn't help us, and she got the manager on the phone. The manager heard the entire story, and said there is noting he could do.
