  Texas BBQ is really being degraded and everyone is still calling it unique and best they ever had. This place the food looked as regular as it tasted and for the price you just don't get much BBQ. Had the brisket and it was chopped so maybe about 2-3 slices on a sandwich with some cheddar cheese that's knows as the Él Pablo. The Mac and cheese looked better then it tasted and just lacked seasoning but it was cheesy. The mashed potatoes were also bland but a nice thick mash. People are just getting the basics right and forgetting about the flavor and I'm not standing for it anymore. They also had a cider & Stella Artois on draft and the cider was very good, but not strong FYI.

  If you're looking for good, down home, Texas bbq don't stop here. The barbeque sauce tasted store-bought, bland at best, no flavor. The brisket wasn't much better, tough and flavorless. Green beans had a twang to them that set me off. Mashed potatoes were alright. Friend had the pulled pork sandwich and he said it made him sick and unwilling to finish it. Their kid wouldn't even eat her sandwich. Not worth the $50 we spent that night. Staff was rude about receipt, forgot to give us the fries for the kids meal.

  I had been wanting to try this place out for years and it was definitely worth the wait. I had the brisket, sausage, potato salad and macaroni. Everything we tried was delicious and we will most definitely be back again.

  We ordered Family style lunch for a group of 7. Ribs, brisket, chicken, sausage, mac n cheese, mash potatoes, cream corn, green beans. Everything tasted great. I didn't try the ribs but others in our party said the ribs tasted more gamy than they'd like. My favor was the brisket, mac n cheese and sausage. Most ordered tea and they have a two buckets of tea (sweetened and unsweetened) with no cover on top of the tea barrels which I thought was surprising. The BBQ sauce is delicious but we had to go ask for more as for all the food we ordered, they gave us two small containers. Each small container could be used by a single person. The sides came in huge containers and we had a group of 7 and had way too many left overs of those. Very good and I'd go again.

  Augie's has some top notch BBQ. Their pulled pork and brisket are amazing. All of their sides are home-made and are very good. The building had a very unique and intriguing decorations. Get there early because they run out of meat quickly! Definitely recommend this to anyone in San Antonio!
