  I have had AT&T internet service for 3 years. It started really bad. We moved and I set this all up a couple weeks in advance. I opted for their best pkg offered, AT&T 50 because I worked from home often. I was also beginning a new contract the week we moved (bookkeeping on the side, I have a home office). They didn’t show up to install the service twice, leaving me without service for well over a week. I lost the contract because of this. I would have preferred to end our association right then but there wasn’t any other company offering what i needed at that time. I finally got my service set up and had no real issues for a while. I was happy enough with it. But in the last year I began a new full time job working exclusively from my home. My husband also works from home for 2 - 4 hours in the evenings. For the 1st 2 years I had a VOIP line which used our internet with no significant issues. I dropped satellite service when they doubled our package price and we now have Hulu which used our internet. This not new. I added the streaming in October of 2017. The tv does buffer now & then but I was ok with it. Suddenly 6 months after that was added, I start getting notifications that I’ve used all my data and they’re adding data so I will still have service. My last bill went from $50 to $80. I haven’t checked in a long time, but assume I’ll just request a new package with more data. How stupid that I would think that giant AT&T would have new better packages available by now, especially considering that tv has changed so much in the last year. But when I call - I’m told that I have the best that they offer! Understand, there’s not a gamer living here. I’ve got 1 laptop going during the day, add one more for a couple hours in the evening, and usually one tv going at a time. And AT&T cannot keep up with MY usage! One thing to think about - when I called the rep kept asking about my tv service and wanted to sell me on AT&T service of some sort. I wouldn’t discuss that with her bc I don’t want to change. The way the conversation went, I got the idea that my problem would end if I buy another product from them. They already have my mobile and internet. Charter offers a pkg that has double the data, not sure of the monthly charge but since i just got my next bill for $105, it’s gotta be a better deal! It’ll switch tomorrow. When I have it installed and in use, I will review that provider. I recommend that if you have an option, go with another company. Update I’ve been with Charter for almost a month now. Guess what? I ca not tell the difference between the this data and that data, except that I don’t see “buffering” nearly as often. And I was mistaken about the double data limit - Charter is UNLIMITED!!! For the same price I paid (before extra data charges) at AT&T. LOL!

  Save yourself a trip and go to a re am AT&T store. The "B" team works at this store.

  I totally agree with the other commenter regarding Fonzy, great guy who saved us some money!
