The PA totally discounted my daughter’s symptoms and abnormal labs. Went down a rabbit hole of unrelated possible problems. She was more concerned that it was Friday than whether my daughter needed further work up. A total waste of time.

First visit to meet Dr. Richard Sigmon, the only thing I can say is WOW. Very smart physician with an amazing bedside manner. He explained everything to me so well, I felt like I was in college getting educated. If you are looking for a knowledgeable gastro doctor and just a great human being, Dr. Richard Sigmon is your man! Ms. Jane his nurse is awesome too.

After experiencing diverticulitis, my Atrium health care team recommended a colonoscopy in 4-6 weeks. My actual colonoscopy was scheduled for 7.5 weeks out. Dr. Browne prescribed me the prep. I talked to the office personnel multiple times to confirm my appointment and make sure that everything was in order. I took the prep, came to the appointment, got gowned up and on a gurney— then Dr. Browne told me that she couldn’t do the procedure because it hasn’t been 8 weeks and she hasn’t had a consult with me. Which would have been fine if it wasn’t literally told to me when my procedure was scheduled to be happening. If the doctor didn’t think the procedure should happen as scheduled, why did she prescribe the prep? Did she really prescribe this medicine without even looking at my records, that clearly state when my diverticulitis took place? Why did her office schedule the colonoscopy? So my driver and I both missed work, wasted $100 on the prep medicine, and I had to go through all the stomach upset that accompanies the prep work for this procedure— for nothing. And the doctor wasn’t even kind or understanding— she was too busy trying to explain why she shouldn’t be blamed that she didn’t even listen to me. It’s now been 3 days— they told me they would contact me, but no one has. Not a single apology, no explanation for how this happened, and nothing to indicate that they’ve done something to make sure it doesn’t happen to anyone else. I guess I’m just going to keep posting reviews to keep warning people— since they aren’t going to do anything to make sure no one else goes through this for nothing, and having a doctor prescribe medicine for a colonoscopy without even looking at their medical records. Pretty scary to me— avoid this practice at all costs.

I really appreciated Dr Browne's generous time she invested in answering all my questions. Other doctors can sometimes keep arms length and speak to the issue or to the body part rather than to ME as the person with the issue. Dr Browne was different. Thanks, I'll gladly recommend her.
