I came here on a date. Nice atmosphere and very old school new york (which gives it major points). Amazing service and portions. Mussels here were so good!

I have enjoyed Arturo's for many years for its food, friendly atmosphere and especially music! My friend pianist Steve Ash is on Thursday and I stayed until all the great music stopped at 1 pm. Even singer Jimmy wowed everyone with his Frank Sinatra-style standards. He is great. Service is excellent. Thanks to the handsome, helpful son on Arturo. I told him was glad he is keeping this awesome place alive. Musicians love sitting in here to play.

Went there for a meeting with some associates. Had 3 things. Garlic bread with mozzarella, slices of pizza and fettuccini Alfredo. All were delicious. Classic Italian food in an intimate setting. Live music was played. (jazz dinner ballads and then eventually a shift to a duo)

I’m conflicted when it comes to pizza. I want to love it. I love the idea of it. But very rarely does pizza live up to expectations. And, generally speaking, NYC has some really bad pizza: doughy, over-sauced, horrible cheese, terrible topping combinations. Then there’s Arturo’s. Seriously, I love this place. Even their simple, straight forward pepperoni is delicious, crispy absolutely homemade tasting. Best pizza I’ve had in a very long time. Arturo’s is my new favorite NYC pizza place.

Ended up at Arturo's on a Friday evening after making the mistake of coming to NYC for dinner with no reservations (whoops). Arturo's certainly makes use of their space and for that reason, we were able to get seated right away. Of course, you're pretty much sitting on top of other guests but when you're hungry enough, you almost don't care that you can't hear what anyone is saying to you. The pizza was certainly delicious; we decided to keep it simple by getting a plain mozzarella pizza with soppressata. The flavors were great and their sauce is really amazing. The decor is very cute and it seems like the spot has a lot of history. The live music also adds a nice touch.
