Amazing place. You can tell the staff really loves what they do. They truly care about every single cat they take care of. My wife and I adopted this beautiful kitten. Well she practically adopted us when she climbed into my wifes purse. Maka (formally known as Lana) is the best thing to come into our lives and we are so grateful for All About Cats.

All about cats rescue is a terrific place with great people who volunteer there. It’s very hard working with the public and not everyone will be happy. Sometimes there is no room to bring cats or kittens in. This is a private shelter with no government funding and it runs on donations so if they ask for a donation and you need help, give it. The public doesn’t know the cost to care for 1 Cat in a shelter. Between the food litter medical laundry etc it adds up. The cats and kittens are very well taken care of. The volunteers give up their holidays to come in and care for them. If you are not happy tell them. Don’t air your dirty laundry on here. You should be happy there is an extra place to take animals. Have a blessed day.

We have adopted two wonderful cats from All About Cats, and it has been our most wonderful adoption experiences over the years we, as an extended family, have ever had. The cats live a life of leisure there, and have free range of the rooms during the day. There is no shortage of neat things to buy to keep your cat/kitten happy all day long. The best part is, you can choose a cat, and leave with it that day. In the past, I've had people come to my home, from other places before letting us adopt a cat, to inspect our living conditions...which are pretty posh, by the way. Meanwhile, their cats were living in cages in the backs of station wagons! All About Cats is full of caring, knowledgeable people who do a great job of finding loving homes for the many, many homeless cats that are in need of stability and love.

Should be named ‘All About Kittens’. In my opinion owner/director Cindy seems to want to have her cake and eat it too. My son and I found a young Mother Cat and her 3 kittens (so cute!!), in July who were in danger of being killed on a busy street. After several calls and weeks she agreed to see abandoned cat and kittens. But once I got to the "cat" shelter I was told “we never said we would take the mother, don’t bring her in”. With that I asked to speak to Cindy to remind her of our conversation. To make a long story short, they asked how much of a ‘donation’ I could make before agreeing to accepting the mother cat and her kittens. I was so upset by the next set of events...I agreed to write $100 check right then ( I am a single mother with 2 jobs to make ends meet) and there only to be told, “we’ll take the kittens but bring the mother back home to socialize her and come back in a week with a CASH donation”. I became very suspicious when the recommendation was to split the mother cat and kittens. A week later and a $100 ‘donation’ another excuse was provided that the other ( the less adoptable mother was again rejected) I had to take her back home again to continue to care for her. Guess what? It’s now December, my donation remains and I am continuously told they can’t take the young mother. To add insult to injury, I was further told, in a very condescending manner, Rescue is a complicated business and Cindy told me she didn’t need to explain it to me. I wanted readers to hear about my experience that this rescue, in my opinion, wants to only "rescue" the more lucrative kittens however leave cats out in the cold- so truth in advertising- this ‘selective rescue’ should be more forthright and change its name to "all about kittens" - cats not welcome.
