This coffee shop opened up just within walking distance of my apartment, and it’s become my go-to if I’m not in the mood to make coffee at home. Their specialty coffees are really flavorful and taste great. And anytime I’m looking for a specific type of drink the baristas put in extra time and effort to help me find what I’m looking for.

Me and my fiance went in here with high expectations since we are somewhat espresso enthusiasts and there are exactly zero coffee shops in Carmel which can claim to pull a half decent espresso shot. Too bad it turned out to be a huge letdown. We ordered a cortado and a cappuccino and sadly both of them were absolutely undrinkable and tasted exactly like wet cardboard. We would have definitely returned both the drinks that morning if we were not in a hurry to get to work. My guess is that they either used a bad batch of beans or burned the milk while steaming it. The girl making our drinks was working Day 1 on the job so that might have a part to play in it. But paying $12 for coffee that had to be poured down the drain will make us not want to give this place another "shot".

Stopped in here for the first time (used to live in Carmel growing up) and was pleasantly surprised to meet James! In the middle of working hard on numerous door dash/online orders he was such a positive, helpful, kind person. I would come back just to see him! The coffee is great as well for the price but James is what made it even better. PS he deserves a raise ❤️

Food (breakfast burrito) and coffee (cold brew) were great! The combo of ice cream parlor Subzero with this Espresso Bar is not a natural fit, I usually would go to an espresso bar to hang out for a while and do some work, but the atmosphere is more encouraging of an eat-and-leave mentality. No WiFi, basic diner chairs and tables. Still a good time, with great service, but I'm just not sure how it would fit my lifestyle if I wanted to go here regularly.

Started at Wabash College, the 1832 Brew Espresso Bar has a new location in the Arts and Designs District in Carmel, IN. It is located inside of Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream. The guys that run it’s are incredible and it’s a great addition to this strip of shops. You may not see it until you see it, but once you have finished your meal downtown or if you’re looking for a quick cup of coffee after a treat, this is well worth the trip.
