::A sports bar is as a sports bar does... almost. For me, Zipps does it just a bit better. Big screen TVs line the entire dining area ... at a height easily visible to all. When last I was in for lunch (midweek & early afternoon), I counted no less than 6 different sports in play. (lol - your mileage may vary) Zipps has a great location - probably 10 minute drive or less from anywhere in Ahwatukee, even with traffic. Sit at the bar, in a booth or at a table and service is (for the most part...) prompt, but always courteous. Yes, the menu is 'pub grub'... stepped up. Many of the old favs are there, from fish-n-chips to burgers with a score of other items to choose from. Every menu item I've ever tried was fresh made, delicious, messy (part of the fun of pub grub!) ... and guaranteed I'll go back again.

::There was a lot of excitement at Zipps Sports Grill today because of an on-going important game and also because of the people who were on their toes to accommodate the ups and downs of the moments of victory and defeat. There were children with their parents there and it was an interesting experience for me who was internalizing the emotions while trying to create a balance between the excitement and the noise. The place has been in this location for the past 3-4 years. The menu is extensive and they have special food and drinks for their happy hours. The accessibility conveniences are available for adults and children including for those using wheel chair. An enjoyable dining.
