  We (my husband and I and our now-3-year-old grandson) just adore Zaro's seeded rye bread. Even though the price keeps getting larger and larger (from $4.50 two years ago to $5 and now $5.50 per loaf) we HAVE to buy a loaf each time we go to NYC either at Newark Penn station or NY Penn. We buy the rye bread unsliced and slice it thick and spread on the cream cheese! It's not just us, the lines are always there, people love Zaro's baked goods. Having the Level Up QR code on our phones makes paying easier - we get a $5 credit after spending $50.

  I enjoyed a delicious pistachio muffin! The customer service was quick and friendly.

  I ate halfway through a rainbow sugar cookie purchased from Zaro's when I found a worm "cooked" into the cookie! It was abosolutely disgusting! What's worse? The store manager became mad at me when I asked for a refund. I never received a response from Zaro's. Also, beware that Newark's Department of Health doesn't inspect Newark Penn Station because it's out of their jurisdiction.

  Great bread, bagels, and muffins. Great service too. Go to the satellite store on the second floor if you can. It's much less hectic there.

  I honestly don't know how Zaro's only has 2.2 stars on here, the food was always amazing when my dad would bring it home after work, and now that I frequent Penn station I'm never disappointed, be it the sandwiches, baked goods, or popcorn. Yes they're a little bit more expensive than McDonald's or Dunkin, but the quality is way better, and totally worth it. Their food is great and I definitely would recommend it to anyone
