Food is overpriced. Serving is sooooooo slow! There are 13 tables right now and 12 groups are playing cellphones with empty plates. We have been sitting here for 70min and only have had 3 small dishes. You'd better had a meal before coming to this place. So terrible!! Would never come again!!!

The place is soooo over priced. 2 of us ordered 6 dishes and still not full. I cannot believe I paid more than $100 for the dinner. Definitely not a $$ restaurant.

I really enjoyed my experience at Yuzuki. The food was artfully prepared, beautifully done and delicious. I ordered a bunch of small plates including the tasty tofu. The atmosphere is one of a small family-owned restaurant. A refreshing change from the usual hyper-paced, cattle feeding experience that is all-to-common today.

The tables were sticky the walls were marked up. Probably from the the chairs and shoes. The staff came by once the entire night and the food was mediocre at best. To finish off the first restaurant experience I’ve had in San Francisco. We got a bottle of champagne to celebrate my wife’s friend finishing college. It was 75 dollars marked up from about 15 bucks at the local liquor store. I decided to pay for everyone’s bills at the end of the night. I walked up to the counter and paid and tipped about 12% I wasn’t happy with the service and the food wasn’t that great the bill was about 225 dollars. The first server we had walked by and asked if everything was okay with the service. I told them everything was “okay”. And he shook his head and walked away. About two minutes later a lady walked up to my table and confronted me and asked if everything was okay and explained that a tip of just over 10% was unacceptable and that I was in San Francisco. The restaurant was about half empty. I explained that The service was mediocre at best and that the tip represented my experience. Not terrible. Not great. The server continued to explain how expensive the city is to live in. And that they live off there tips and they can’t survive off minimum wage. She can’t survive off what the restaurant pays her she said. Keep in mind this is an extremely expensive restaurant. I was absolutely blown away at this point. Embarrassed in front of my family shammed by the server. She was trying to get more money out of me. I was so shocked by the whole thing . It was absolutely insane. The server started to speak louder and reexplain the whole thing almost to embarrass me in front of everyone else at the restaurant. We all stood up and left. As we left she yelled out thank you and laughed. Ruined the entire night and pretty much the trip to this city. It was horrible and It was the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had in my life and I want to warn anyone else that goes there. Tip 20-30% minimum regardless of the experience, if you don’t want to be shamed in front of everyone. Expect terrible terrible service, dirty tables and a mediocre dinner.

Yuzuki is phenomenal. Really excellent Japanese Cuisine, so flavorful, precise. The starters and Mains were perfect. Great service, nice atmosphere. Will absolutely be going back
