::The mussels were perfect! The salmon was good as well. The ceases salad was complete with real anchovies however they charge extra for them 😕. The risotto dish was tasty but surprisingly super small for the price. I would not order that twice. The service is great and the atmosphere is dark and historic. A good date night restaurant.

::This place has it all!! The sweetest humans, outrageously delicious food, big cozy chairs to sit in and tons of kitschy trinkets to look at. Get the wrapped brie, sausage and peppers and hot buttered rum bundt cake, you won’t regret it. 10/10 will be back as soon as possible.

::We had a reservation. We got seated rt away. The menu was nohjing that was posted online. I asked and the waiter said its seasonal and changes too often. There was nothing i was interested in getting. Im not into anything spicy. We had no time to go elsewhere bc of theater tickets. I ordered the fish special. My bf had the jerk chicken. We waited longer than 45 min. The manager came out and apologized the food hadnt been up to quality so they made it again. No bread delivered nothing in the meantime. My fish came out a dried husk on some cold veggies. They must have just switched out the fish. My bf was just ok. For just the 2 , unsatisfactory entrees and water our bill was about 70 bucks or so. Closer to 80. For what you pay the food is certainly NOT worth it. My friend went the next day with same rests for their food. Do NOT WASTE your money. Go somewhere where they care about quality food.

::We chose York Street Cafe for our weekend date night and we were not disappointed. The ambiance is certainly unique with it's dimly lit dining room and shelves full of old toys and antiques. The service was excellent and bottled beer was brought out in a frosted mug (very nice touch). The bread we had as an appetizer was delicious, and the burger was huge and very filling. Only regret was that we didn't have any room for dessert, but will have to try that the next time we stop in.

::What can I say about York St. Cafe? Romantic rendezvous, house of eclectic vibes, pure delicious cooking. I have never been disappointed in my several visits. Today was my first experience for lunch. Driving by, realized I was here and when in Rome, you eat at York St. I cannot express how much enjoy this quirky and amazing restaurant. Tbh, I hesitate to spread the word, because selfishly, I want nothing to change! Alas, great places will always do well, and the more people who are the right fit that can experience this place, the better.
