  We attempted to go there on Mother's day for brunch. It was 10am and there were some tables occupied, but it was not busy. We were seated after a short 2 minute wait after the hostess checked to see where we should be seated. And then we waited. And waited. And waited some more. While we waited, servers passed by our table numerous times, but no one stopped to even give us water or acknowledged us in any way. After 15 minutes of this, we got up to leave. The hostess was surprised and said she would take care of us right away but we were in no mood to wait again. As we were leaving there were two wait staff just standing by the hostess station. We had previously been here and had adequate service, and the food was good. That was why we came back but we will never try this place again. Too bad as i like to support local restaurants.

  Over priced and food was not all that. Born and raised in Alaska and thought that the seafood chowder would have been great...NOPE...the main dish was horrible too.... I would much rather go to Arkansas and have great Italian food (in Anchorage). For the price of one here, two people can have a good meal over there.

  We always come here for lunch and it's always good. My husband gets the Reuben and he said it's the best Reuben he's ever had. I've had the salads and the muffuletta on a few occasions. Always tasty and the service is excellent. We tried dinner here once and it wasn't as good as the lunch service.

  Very surprised at the positive reviews. My co-workers and I have been several times, all but one have been bad experiences. The last time a group of 7 went. 4 of us ordered the seafood chowder (best in Anchorage), the waitress came back and informed us the the cook only had enough for 3 bowls but would not let any of us have them. Instead of changing one order we all had to choose something different. The time before that same order (seafood chowder) waited an hour then changed the order to go. (appears the cook walked out) We were still late back to work. Today!!! One more chance. Decided to order 3 bowls of chowder to go. This way we wont wait for an hour and if they refuse to serve the chowder we can go elsewhere. Called for 30 minutes 11:05-11:35 with no answer, phone goes to voice mail. Done with this place.

  Always a pleasant experience. Comfortable upscale diner atmosphere. Menu prices are good for the quality and portions. Food is expertly prepared and delivered timely, as one would expect in a fine dining situation. Atmosphere is relaxed and dining unhurried. Desserts are also beautifully presented. Make this your place for special meals out when you want to be able to hear each other talk. Currently one of Anchorage’s “best kept secret” dining places!
