They have many different cakes unlike the ones in the usual 8 Avenue bakeries. The amount of people waiting in line just goes to show how much people like it. My personal favorite is the opera cake.

Not even close to Portuguese custard tarts. Dough is completely different then pastel de nata dough. Custard is not as it's should be. They are tasty but must have other name like :Chines custard cream.

They're known for their portuguese egg tarts that get sold out super fast. They also have a decent selection of pastries. Pricier than other bakeries in the area.

Don't let the fact that it looks like every other bakery on the road fool you. In addition to their more ordinary Chinese bakery items, they make the best Portuguese egg tart (葡挞) I've ever had. I thought Lord Stow's in Macau was pretty much unbeatable here, but somehow they've been beaten by a nondescript bakery in Brooklyn. You have to call and order them in advance, which is a hassle, but on the bright side you get them hot and fresh. The tarts here are overstuffed with egg custard, resulting in very substantial sizes. However, and more importantly, this also seems to cause the crust to become impregnated by the filling. You know that part of the crust on the bottom of a regular egg tart that has that perfect texture and consistency? Or the part of a pie underneath the filling that is so soft and moist? The side crust of this tart is like that. Combine that with the excellent flavors, and this is the best Portuguese egg tart I've ever had.

Nice place for a cup of coffee and a bun or two. The pastry is not too sweet and easy to eat. I enjoyed the egg tarts and their egg and ham sandwiches. The price is fair, better than most bakeries out there that's do sure.
