::I have not even gotten to the hotel yet and the service is horrible. I called three times in a row before somebody finally picked up and I asked a simple question, “How much is the room service pizza?” Because I wanted to know how much money to save for later to get it. I was on hold for 2 minutes and after that he finally picked up and said thank you for being on hold, I said no problem and he hung up on me. I have also heard they have roaches here and that is also disgusting.

::Sitting in my room right now, which is 77 degrees and has been for the last five hours. If your room is too hot, and the hotel has decided that the weather outside is too cold to run the air conditioning, their answer is to open a window. Because according to the staff here, the air conditioning system is controlled by the weather. Mother Nature decides what room temperature is appropriate for the guests, not the guests. If it is cool outside, the air conditioning won't work, regardless of what the temperature is in the room. Isn't the point of a climate control system to moderate the temperature INSIDE regardless of what is happening OUTSIDE? The staff tried to explain their system to me, but it sounds like BS.... I think the GM is too cheap to give the guests the options to moderate the temperature within their rooms. Also...Walls are thin. Elevator is tiny and slow. They have tried really hard to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear with the renovations, but if you travel regularly, and stay at other Wyndham Hotels (I am a rewards member), you won't be fooled. Avoid. This is a $60 hotel at best.

::This is not your typical Wyndham hotel. It's a old renovated Howard Johnson. The elevator is small and hold. The elevator does not go t ok the fifth floor. Your have to carry your bags up. So park at the appropriate doors. The second day of my visit small bugs were n the room. Called the front desk. They sent up maintenance. He started the bug were probably coming through the walls since they were having a flood down the hall. I was given another room and help carrying luggage up to the fifth floor. The rooms are ok. Hard wood floors, wood paneling as headboard. Holes in the comforter. Second room the bath tube was filthy. I did not go to breakfast so I can't comment on that. The staff was nice but no manager on the weekend.

::As others have stated, the staff was extremely friendly and the breakfast was pretty good; better than what most 3 star hotels offer. Within 20 minutes of being in my room I saw a roach. Due to another circumstance with another party within my group my room was moved and someone else was moved to my previous room. The next morning they stated that the saw two roaches in the room. I assisted them with moving their items and saw several roaches in the shower.

::We stayed here during the middle of last week. When I first saw many negative reviews, I was a bit worried. I noticed that staff here reply to people's reviews, but I was a little skeptical about whether they actually take the proper course of action to improve the hotel. From what I read and experienced, I did not encounter most of the problems that I read about. Even though our room was on the side closer to the highway, I did not hear much noise during the night. The rooms were clean and I did not encounter any cleanliness problems like others have said. The only negative thing which I agree about with other reviewers is that the elevator is very small, and being honest, riding it scared me the first time. I do understand that this is difficult to replace, but I think it's worth doing so. My room was thankfully on the third floor so taking the stairs was not much of an issue, but I do have concern for those who have rooms on higher floors. The washroom was standard but I would appreciate if it was cleaned more. The hotel provided some of the best breakfast which I've ever had. It was exceptional and although I wanted to try American fast-food restaurants' breakfast, I ended up eating breakfast at the hotel because it was excellent. Adding a bit of bacon to the buffet would be nice, but I can't complain about it because its free. The one thing which remained consistent among all the reviews I read was the friendliness of the staff at the hotel. I found this to be true as well, and was served by some very informative, kind, and friendly front desk members. The free shuttle service to the Metro station was very helpful, and our driver was friendly as well. Overall, this was a very nice hotel to stay at and I greatly appreciate the hard work of the staff here!
