::This place is one of the newest memorial added to the national mall. Monument was build around the waterfalls as it was difficult to remove them Although, waterfalls are not related to memorial but now they add to the beauty of the memorial Memorial represents all the US states and territories with the pillar. Its located bang opposite to the Lincoln memorial separated by the reflecting pond. Great place, usually crowded during weekends.

::A very well thought off idea to pay tribute to the war heroes. I liked the theme and the layout too. Very impressive and detailed sculptures telling to story of each battle. There were lot many war veterans also visiting the memorial once I was there so it’s serving the purpose very well.

::This was truly a fantastic memorial. Beautifully designed, significant in it's layout. The attention to detail in incredible, and many engravings just beautiful. It's a great location to take you take and walk around, and see the countries involved in the conflict. Definitely another must see if in DC. No immediate parking available, but walking distance to many other memorials such as Vietnam, Korean, Lincoln and more.

::I have been here quite a few times in every season. When it's summer, it's best to visit starting from late afternoon because of the heat. It's also very beautiful at night. Every time I visit this place, I feel a sense of admiration for Americans and the respect they dedicate to the fallen.

::The perfect memorial to depict the scope of the war effort. Every state and US territory that contributed to the war has a panel. Each theater of operations is depicted with a tower. The constant roar of the fountain is beautiful and disconcerting. The moment you step out of the perimeter of the monument that roar is gone. War is that way, noise day and night. Then you're home and nothing. A great tribute to those who fought and died in WWII.
