  This is like an old diner setting with live music and a friendly staff.They have a menu with select items that they do really well. The waiter Andrew was helpful and courteous. I recommend this place if you visit Nashville or you will miss out on a unique experience.

  Once you step through the doors it's like you traveled into the 1920's. The decor is classic. I went in between lunch and dinner so the menu options were limited. The food was good, but the rich history makes it much better.

  They took the old Woolworth and transformed it into three levels; an open seating main floor, bar overlooking dining room upstairs and a banquet/party hall downstairs. It's an inviting atmosphere paying tribute to the civil rights movement. History is posted everywhere, beautiful art adorns the walls. They kept alot of the original materials so your mind immediately goes back to when you were little shopping there, I was 10 again for a moment. The staff is so friendly, a true picture of what Nashville has always been, southern hospitality. The FOOD, is literally a party in your mouth with each and every bite. They've got very interesting combinations that just work! Very creative southern chefs who have added new twists to traditional southern recipes. They have valet parking at night but not during lunch, be prepared to fight for street parking or the nearest paid lot/garage. I apologize for the messy pic, I got the corn cakes, it was an after thought once we had already started eating and professing our love to the chef. This place will not disappoint you. A must *go to* place when company comes or you want a no fail date night, or just an average day for great filling food! I'd rate it a hundred stars if I could!

  Great atmosphere. Amazing restoration while preserving the history. The service was good. We ordered a $46 steak, which was served raw. There solution was to cook the same steak and re-serve it to us! We have years of fine dining experience. Never good when the same steak is serverd, now completely overcooked. Several other small mistakes were made. Would need a good reason to ever return.

  Very cool atmosphere in a beautiful historic building. They do a great job maintaining and honoring the history while providing a unique dining experience. The ballroom on the bottom floor is a lounge / live music venue. Staff was amazing and friendly. The cocktails are superb, make sure and try The Big Dipper, which is made with their homemade ice cream. What a great addition to Downtown Nashville.
