::This shop only sells new bicycles but they're also a full-service service shop. $50 for the service they did on the bike I found in the thrift store was quite reasonable.
Steve Kelly
::Great local shop with knowledgeable staff.

::It was 1991, I was just a kid and my bike chain wouldn't stop falling off. I took a long ride all the way from Plainview to Williams Cycle. The guy with an accent is like "I know what eez wrong". So i said, can you fix it? He's said "That'll be $10." $10? That's $5 more than what I had to my name. Ten bucks for a 10 year old from the year 1991, he might as well have said 1000. So I rode all the way back home, struggling and getting stuck with my bike every 20 ft., begged my mom for another $5 to fix my bike. Rode all the way back, again getting stuck every 20 or so feet and finally arrived like a good sucker and gave them $10 (probably would be like giving him $100 with today's inflation rate) and he tightened the back bolt.. That's it. Problem solved. Thanks for being like the mechanics across the street and ripping off a kid. And thank you google for giving me a platform to write down this childhood gripe somewhere decades later.
