  First off, staff could be A LOT friendlier. They were rude and not welcoming. And the rooms were terrible, you can tell there's very minimal effort on the housekeepers part, absolutely no soap, shampoo or conditioner in our rooms, not even bar soap. Drawers and counter tops were gross and very obviously not whipped down after the last guest. Balcony was gross, covered in dirt and ash and cigarette and joint butts laying on the ground

  The building definitely shows its age, but it looked clean and well-maintained. Family members in another room said the mattress was very lumpy, but ours was fine. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

  Don't stay here unless a cruise line books you here, and be wary even then! After hours of waiting and negotiating, we were given a room (not the junior suite we had booked) but it did have a partial water view instead of just a parking lot and ugly parking structure that the junior suite had. I believe this hotel exists to cater to Holland America cruise guests. It seems best rooms are assigned to them first. We had to wait hours and got what was left. Not even real coffee cups in the room, nor any glasses or cups at all in the bathroom. Also - no bathmat for tub and it was slippery - safety issue. Light switch plate missing. Marred dresser top. Lobby elevator paint severely scraped off. It was definitely a bad feeling as we had expected Westmark to be a quality hotel. No coffee in lobby, restaurant not open, bar not open, no guest laundry. Only use of restaurant is for $21 breakfast buffet. Really not a good experience : ( I do think the employees are doing all they can to work within the restrictions placed on them. Everyone was as nice as possible.

  We stayed in this property as part of our Holland cruise to Alaska. The property is a bit dated, however, our room did have newer carpet. The room was dusty, so Debra spent 20 minutes dusting, cleaning and using the coffee as room deodorizer. The mattress need replaced However, the linens were clean. No fridge, and the air conditioning wasn’t up to the task. They only served a full breakfast or continental, $15 or $20 respectively. I ended up across the street in a local joint for my breakfast sandwich. Overall I would not stay here again. .

  This hotel was perfect. Located in a perfect part of downtown, great brewery across the street, dispensary right there, police station and a great views from the upper floors. The staff was very kind and friendly and seemed to all work great together. Would stay here again on our way home, but it’s booked solid.
