  I went to West Fordham Road to collect US$800.00 sent to me by my wife Sharon Steadman from Kingston Jamaica, I presented my passport to the cashier whom i observed spoke Spanish as well as English. She returned the passport to me saying that the name on the computer - Maurice Steadman was different from that in the passport - Maurice Levy Steadman and i should telephone her ( the sender) to make the corrections. It was Ash Wednesday a public holiday in Jamaica. Immediately i thought her decision was along racial lines as i observed the courtesy extended to Spanish speaking customers was different to mine. I had to get the money so i step outside thought for a moment and then decided to try another branch where i thought would be more Afro Caribbean Black Friendly. I traveled all the way to Utica Avenue in Brooklyn ( i am fairly new to New York) where they took my passport, let me signed a form, took a photograph of me and pay me the money and guess what this office was manned by younger people. While giving the PROPS to the Utica Ave staff, what if i had to rely on the branch in Fordham Road. Western Union say something.
