::Hood station!! homeless people everywhere not a very safe place not too long ago someone got robbed it was in the news thats why i always wait for the train in the mcdonald's or right in front of a camera. It's not a bad looking station and its near great spots in Dallas it's just there's a lot of questionable people just chilling there

::West End can be rough at times so of course always travel with someone and don't cause trouble been coming to West End since I was little and I always enjoy it

::Right in the heart of downtown Dallas, near major hotels, museums, the main Dallas Public Library and many tourist attractions. All the DART light rail lines go through here. Lots of business folks, tourists, and, unfortunately, homeless folks. Despite all the people the station is kept temarkably clean. A large police presence helps quite a bit with keeping things orderly. Time seems to go by quickly when I'm waiting for my train.

::Terrible way to get around Dallas. Avoid if possible. Good: Um, they do have trains that will take you from one place to another. Free parking at several suburban stations Bad: Atrocious atmosphere. Drug deals, druggies, homeless, beggars, mentally unstable, loud yelling/singers on every trip. Police do come around often...because they have to. People getting arrested. Firefighters coming to check on homeless people. The stench on most trains and train stations is disgusting and makes you want to leave quickly...which is tough if you have a long train ride. Long waits at train stations are very common with many lines running late and only 2-3 times per hour. Waiting at any train station is very uncomfortable with tons of people smoking, begging, and yelling. Don't forget about people glaring at you for long periods of time. This will happen alot. Especially if you are not black, hispanic, or not anywhere close to the poverty line. Cost is too high for what you get and prices are going up again soon. Trains are slow, and even have to stop at intersections for crossing traffic. Very poorly planned. There are occasionally big events in downtown when a train trip could be better than trying to fight traffic and pay expensive parking. But if at all possible, take alternative modes of transportation. If you must take Dart, don't travel alone, don't bring children, don't talk to anyone, and give yourself lots of time to get where you're going.

::Dart's West End Transfer Station is the only point of transfer for any train and for a variety of buses that can literally take you just about anywhere you want to go in the Dallas and surrounding areas. It's considered a transfer point by Dart for this reason. It's a safe place to be because the Dart Police and Dallas Polices's presence is extremely strong here every single day. There are many hotels, banks and places to eat here along with CVS Pharmacy off of Lamar and also off of Main Street. Neiman Marcus is off of Main Street as well as shops that have eye glasses, shoes and cowboy duds. I love West End because it's full of life. Some people preach down here, play music down here...Downtown Dallas is an exciting city to be in.
