::One of the hallmarks of good therapy is known as unconditional positive regard. This is an idea that is taught in counseling programs all over the world; it maintains that the therapist should see clients in a positive light regardless of any behavior, lifestyle, or other issues. Trina judged me often. "Good therapists take responsibility for their own feelings rather than blaming them on their clients. They do not make grandiose promises or outlandish claims. They agree to consultations when the relationship comes to an impasse. Even in the face of a patient's unreasonable accusation, they do not become defensive." --D. Lott Trina failed me here again. Trina lacked depth, fundamental knowledge of the human experience, was also apathetic, unempathetic, belittling, aloof, and cold when dealing with me. Worse, she led me to believe otherwise. I believe she has more of her own work to do as I was ruffling up a lot her unresolved repressed pain hence her countertransferential issues with me. She is riddled with fear, shame and confidence issues - not good for one who is a therapist. Otherwise, she was great.
