  Not a bank person but cashed my check without any fees.

  Cashed a check and wanted to deposit the cash so there was no hold on the funds. They told me I couldn't deposit the cash because they knew it came from that check and they couldn't verify the funds... if they couldn't verify the funds, why would they hand me the cash? And if the check bounced, wouldn't they rather have the cash in my account so they could take it back? Now I have to drive to another location to deposit my cash. I have not had an issue at other branches. Wish Wells Fargo was more consistent and less tedious.
