  Purchased a "NEW" Buffet R13 Bb Clarinet from "Mark" who did a great job of assisting in explaining the technical differences in the Buffet line of woodwinds and also doing a beautiful job of setting it up. Unfortunately what would have been an otherwise great first time purchase experience was ruined by Fred & Simon... After taking delivery, I asked for a simple appraisal to go along with the instrument so that it could be properly insured. (A common practice for high ticket items like wedding rings for example to come with an appraisal for insurance purposes). Fred & Simon INSISTED they be paid an extra $50 to type a sentence on a sheet of Weiner Music letter head stating the cost of the "NEW" clarinet, which they never actually appraised, since it was already in my possession. Fred's solution...? "If you don't like it, return the clarinet." It's amazing that the owner would go to SUCH great lengths to pick the pockets of a customer for $50, who just spent thousands in his store, over a piece of paper and 2 minutes worth of typing. --- WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS HERE AGAIN.

  I ordered a reed case that came defective but Simon immediately rectified the situation and is sending me a new one. Very easy to order and always friendly and reliable.

  This is the go to place for all of your music needs. Been buying all of our instruments, reeds and accessories from them for years! Simon is very knowledgeable and really goes the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied. Mark does a great job of servicing the instruments as well!
