  Fun little place. Fun to cool off and wade around in the summer. Dog friendly. Kid friendly. Not always the cleanest place. Cigarette buts and trash floating in the water. Dog hair. Can be extremely crowded especially when there are events on the north shore.

  The place is really cute. I loved the whole idea when I first saw it. The steps were a little crowded with kids and their parents, but it's right along the river. You can walk both ways and just enjoy or I sat along the river bank and just watched the boats. The view of downtown Pittsburgh is jus breath taking.

  When running it's a nice free place to sit in summer to cool off in the middle of biking the heritage trail etc. Kids can wade around in it and it's also dog friendly.
