  Not only is it historic it's also the Magnificent Place To Worship and to pray. The cathedrals Gothic spires and flying buttresses allow for beautiful large stained glass windows portraying the growth of this nation and the life of Christ. So much to see come back often.

  This is a beautiful building! The Cathedral is unlike any other in the world and definitely take a tour if possible. The tour points out all the unusual and unique things that make this cathedral unlike any other in the world. It’s a must see if you’re visiting Washington DC.

  Un gioiello dell'architettura neo gotica, questa meravigliosa cattedrale può tenere testa alle sue rivali europee. Completata nel 1990, è la seconda chiesa più grande degli Stati Uniti. Durante la sua storia, la cattedrale è stata testimone di tre funerali e sei funzioni religiose presidenziali. Vale sicuramente la pena visitarla per il suo aspetto maestoso: l'interno presenta vetrate colorate, numerose sculture e una placca per ogni stato del paese.

  This is a very beautiful piece of architecture and well worth visiting to get a feel for it. It's setting is designed to emphasise the peacefulness and this enhances its purpose. Its design is on a par with the other great cathedrals, some of which are centuries older, and it will draw you back again and again. On the day we visited, we were lucky to have bright, clear sunshine and the stained glass windows filled the cathedral with colour. One window to watch out for is the one dedicated to space. After visiting the cathedral, don't hurry away as there is a beautiful garden in the grounds where you can sit and contemplate the wonders of our world. This truly promotes the glory of God and through design, the beauty of his works.

  I'm a chorister at the Cathedral; I just started this year. Anyone thinking of visiting should definitely do so! I'm not just telling you too come watch me sing - you might not think it possible, but the decorations within the elaborately decorated walls of the cathedral are even more dazzling than the awe-inspiring carvings outside! Even though I frequent the place as I am a chorister, I always take time to admire the structures that expertly skilled craftspeople took over a hundred years to chip. My favorite place, or places rather, is the huge three- section mural of the sun and moon and God at the center that is carved into the arcs above the main doors. Also, visit former President Woodrow Wilson's tomb. Have fun visiting!
