::My daughter and I recently travelled on Amtrak from Orlando to Grand Forks. On the second leg of our trip we both got very ill after eating the dinner provided in the dining car. On the 3rd and final leg of our trip, we paid to upgrade to a room with a shower, we found out that evening that the shower did not work, and were unable to use it at all. Upon returning home, I called Amtrak to request a refund for the room ( just the difference charged for a shower room) and was refused. I also mentioned that we both got sick from their food and was met with a hollow apology with no offer of compensation. Truly horrible customer service, very disappointed.

::Really exemplary depot. Not obvious but important: The lower level has an overpriced but lifesaving, well-stocked Walgreen's, and also a decent food court.
