  I attended this program for about 3 weeks. It was very strange and the longer I stayed the more I realized that it was extremely cult like. They claim to be religious and accepting of all but as a minority woman the place was very threatened by my presence. Furthermore in order to be “accepted” to the program you must stay for 30 days and the women decide whether THEY want you there or not. Even though they are the ones who are supposed to be providing a helpful service.There is something deeper and darker going on there and I suggest finding another place for “healing”. It is NOT a Rehab facility.

  My sister was just dismissed from here after being sober for 10 months. This place describe it self as not for profit but don't let that confuse you. If your family member is in there, the Home takes full advantage of their social benefits and your family member works many hours for their stay only to be dismissed for not paying an additional 500 per month. This home has these women begging for donations in shopping malls and still will dismiss for non payment. I believe it to be a form of a cult that will only help at a financial cost..

  I am a 1995 graduate. There was no hope, joy nor did I think that it existed. The peace that was upon John and Elise Benton was that light that made me hungry for that kind of presence to be in my life. I was told by them to seek Him Daily and Yes He can be found. I know my foundation today is the building blocks of what God had for me at The Walter Hoving Home. I've now been in Ministry from 1996 with and excellent foundation taught to me at the Home.

  I am a 1987 proud completer!! I highly recommend the Walter Hoving home as a Haven and a place to connect with holy spirit in relationship with Father because of Jesus! My experience not only helped me deal with my addiction, but changed my life forever… And as I continue to prosper in all areas of my life I will always be indebted to my one year at Walter Hoving Home!!
