Hit pr a miss. Some items will cost you too much, some you can only get here. I am guessing 3 stars will be the best description for this store.

The pharmacy staff is extremely dismissive. We arrived from nyack hospital which is directly down the block, approximately 9:30,the pharmacist informed us that the Dr.yes, the Dr.who had obviously been to medical school, completed a residency and was working in a ER had given us the wrong dosage.Hearing that info I called the Dr and told her what the pharmacy tech who completed her 2-3 yr course of study sd..the dr then called the Walgreens pharmacy and spoke with the person..she in turn looked at us,after we sat there 15 minutes and said,it's nothing I can do for you..😡..We are close! All well and good today is June 1st..we were there at 9:30 pm I fully intend to speak with the corporate office in the morn to inform them of our treatment and that a certain member of their team needs to work only with paper or phones absolutely not sick customers trying to get the antibiotics.

I love the actual convenience of the store. Its easy for me to talk to an employee and ask where to find things. There used to be really friendly greeters when you walked in, I asked one of them if they were being told to do this but she said "I just really enjoy making the customers feel happy". Nice girl.

The cashiers are usually really nice and could carry a short conversation. I could usually find what I need and ask for help. I haven't used the pharmacy but for regular needs like short grocery shopping or snacks or even small gifts, children's needs or over the counter medicine, they're pretty fast and easy to come by.

Called in to refill a few medications for my grandmother who is away on vacation. I spoke to Mr. Philip (Pharmacy Manager) who was absolutely rude and unprofessional. Clearly, Mr. Philip was in a rush at the time and quickly confirmed that medications were ready for pick up. I then proceeded to inquire about a specific type of medication she was running low on and wanted to know when it was due to be filled. He told me on the 15th, today is the 6th. I asked him if it was possible to refill early so that I can send them to her all at once. His response in a very sarcastic tone "IT'S GOING TO COST YOU $1 THOUSAND SOMETHING DOLLARS....IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT?!.... at this point I was in shock. I told him that he didn't have to be so rude and that he could have conveyed that to me in a more appropriate way just by saying that if it was filled now it will not be covered by insurance. He tried to change his explanation and said that he did mention it wasn't covered by insurance and he stated the cost. Now Mr. Philip is not only rude but a liar. I asked for his manager and that is when he identified himself as the pharmacy manager, I then asked for his superior which he said was the store manager Mr. John. At this point Mr. Philip attempted to apologize in his own way by saying "I'm sorry YOU DIDN'T UNDERSTAND" to me. At this point, I've really reached my limit with Mr. Philip. Thank goodness I spoke to Mr. John the store manager who has assured me that he will discuss this matter with Mr. Philip. I usually do not write any reviews but I felt it was my duty to do so at this point. I am educated, English is my first language and I have no auditory, memory, or mental impairments. I completely understood and recall exactly what was said and in no way did he mention it will not be covered by insurance until after the fact. Our community is diverse and consists of members/customers whom English is their second language or have the following impairments mentioned earlier. Just imagine what they have to endure on a daily basis and feel helpless to defend themselves. The matter of fact is that Mr. Philip should be courteous to all and should really take a few classes on manners. If you don't like your job or just having a bad day, please do not take it out on others!!! There is a better way to communicate where you will not offend or belittle anyone.
